The cassowaries are considered the guardians of the rainforest. They disperse certain seeds throughout the forest, keeping over 150 types of plants and trees alive! These amazing birds can live up to 30 and even 40 years old, living in solitude the majority of their life. The only time they come together is during mating season.
This necklace is my tribute to the beautiful flightless bird. Elvis, the Southern Cassowary, is made from multiple pieces of coloured acrylic. He and his chick sit on two fan palms that grow in the Daintree Rainforest. The chain and rings are made from a tarnish-resistant, hypoallergenic metal.
Dimensions: 131 mm W x 100 mm H + 45 cm chain with 6 cm extension.

**Please note** Marbled and glitter acrylics can differ from piece to piece. It may take on a slightly different pattern and colours or even have tiny flaws. This is unavoidable but it is rarely even noticeable.
