This beautiful male butterfly has prism-like scales that only show flashes of blue and purple. They are common in woodlands in Europe and feast on sap, carrion, dung and anything sufficiently putrid. Yum! 

This detailed brooch is made from laser-cut and layered acrylic pieces. Each piece is hand assembled and hand painted with care in limited quantities.

It measures 105mm (w) x 52mm (h) with an ajustable stainless steel chain (40-48cm). 

 

Designed, cut and assembled in Australia. 

 

 

**Please note** Marbled and glitter acrylics can differ from piece to piece. It may take on a slightly different pattern and colours or even have tiny flaws. This is unavoidable but it is rarely even noticeable.
